We provide courteous and informative service to make your cake experience positive and memorable. We're located in Airlie Beach, the Whitsundays, close to your special occasion, ensuring your cake is as fresh and perfect as possible.

We can make almost any flavour cake requested. Common flavours include:

When should I book/order my cake?
As early as possible. Minimum lead times are:
Do I need to make a deposit?
Yes. A 20% deposit is required for Wedding cakes, or a $80 deposit for Birthday or event cakes, to secure your cake order and allow preparation of ingredients and decorations.
I don't have any ideas for my cake. Can you help?
Yes. We can assist with ideas and inspiration. You can view existing designs and are encouraged to browse cake books, magazines, and websites.
I have my own design in mind. Is that alright?
Absolutely. Photos, sketches, and reference materials are welcomed to help create your personalised cake.
Do you make your cakes from packet mixes?
No. All cakes are made from scratch using quality fresh ingredients.
What are the portion sizes of cake serves?

I have special dietary requirements. Can you still make my cake?
Yes in most cases we can create most designs with dietary alteration. We will make recommendations for the best flavours that suit your design.

Do you make gluten-free cakes?
Yes. A wide variety of gluten-free cakes are available for all occasions, either as whole cakes or single tiers.
Can I have a different flavour on a multi-tier cake?
Yes. Each tier can have a different flavour if desired.
I dislike some cake icing. What can you do?
Some cakes today have fondant icing, or no icing at all, often called naked cakes. Party Cakes Whitsunday can also ice your cake with soft chocolate ganache, or most commonly these days with buttercream.
Can you deliver cakes?
Yes. Delivery to events or accommodation is generally included in the cake price. Additional charges may apply for lower-value cakes or deliveries to outer areas.

Can you deliver cakes to the Whitsunday Islands?
Yes. Cakes can be sent to island resorts via ferry. For particularly delicate cakes, a decorator may travel to the island to assemble and decorate the cake on-site.
Can you order and deliver cakes to Hamilton Island?
Wedding cake orders are generally handled through Hamilton Island Weddings. Birthday and event cakes can be sent to Hamilton Island but must be transported with the cake decorator incurring a $100 fee.
I'm being married at Villa Botanica. Can I order my cake from you?
Yes. Wedding cake orders are usually coordinated through the Villa Botanica wedding coordinator, and Party Cakes Whitsunday can assist with forwarding requests and quotes.
Where can I collect my cake?
Collection is available (Monday– Sunday, 9:30 am–4:00 pm) or at a pre-arranged time.

Can I have fresh flowers on my cake?
Yes. Fresh flowers can be added to cakes for an additional cost depending on flower type, quantity, and season.
Can I have sugar icing flowers with my cake?
Yes. Virtually any sugar flower can be made. They are edible and should be requested in advance.
Do you make your own cake toppers?
Yes. Some cake toppers are edible and handcrafted by Pastry Chef, Vhari. Advance notice is recommended.

Do you have cupcake stands?
Yes. Cupcake stands are available from 2-tier to 10-tier configurations and can be matched to different colours and styles.
Do you hire out cupcake stands?
Generally, cupcake stands are only hired out with cakes or cupcakes made by Party Cakes Whitsunday.
Can my cake be colour coordinated with my wedding or event?
Yes. We will try to match your event colours as closely as possible. Providing a colour sample, card, or ribbon is recommended.
What payment methods do you accept?

Can I meet with you personally to discuss my cake ideas and see your designs?
Yes this must be pre-arranged either to come to the business address and discuss options quickly. If a more detailed discussion is required a coffee shop meeting is preferred. This must be prearranged a minimum of 2 weeks prior.
Can I have a cake tasting before choosing my wedding cake flavour/s?
Yes this must be prearranged at least a month prior to the wedding, and a month prior to the actual date of the tasting. Three flavours can be chosen and are provided in a take home box.
When is my cake made?
Your cake is baked fresh and decorated within 7 days of your event.
Are all the decorations edible?
No. Some decorations such as ribbons, bows, pins, figurines, and cake supports are not edible and should be removed before consumption.
